Welcome to the introduction of my portfolio. I’m a graduate from Auckland University of Technology, where I completed a Bachelor’s degree in Digital Design with a focus on Game Design. I’ve had the opportunity to work on various projects, honing my skills and passion for the creative process. Two significant milestones in my current journey were my internship at Conical, where I contributed to the art and animation for a mobile KFC cricket game in New Zealand, and the solo development and publication of my first game, Greed’s Grub, on Steam. These experiences gave me valuable insights into the game development industry and further fueled my passion.
Greed’s Grub is a first-person horror game where you cook, serve, and try to survive. You don’t remember what you did, just that it must’ve been bad if this rotten hellish burger joint is your punishment. The game was made solo and published to Steam. (its free)
I set out to go from blank screen to a published store page in about 4 months. A low-poly style saved time and kept me focused on mechanics and the core loop. I launched on schedule, then continued patching and updating for months based on player feedback.
Pipeline
3D modelling & rigging: Blender
Game development: Unity 3D Engine + Visual Studio (C#)
Texturing: Procreate for hand‑painted base work, Photoshop for final polish, optimisation and UI elements.
This is the environment of Greed’s Grub. In the main scene the outside is a filthy, red-tinted dumpster hell, while inside the van is a sickly green. I chose green to contrast the red and make the van stand out. The eerie, disjointed interior adds to the unsettling vibe. I used a similar process for the other scenes such as the toilet minigame and boss’s office.
Beware the Boss from Hell. The boss is always watching, and failure isn’t an option. For five tense days, you’ll answer to a mysterious, unnerving figure who clearly doesn’t like you. Always lurking in his shadowy office, he keeps you on edge. Keep your grill hot and your instincts sharper.
The mischief maker, a goblin-like pest who lives to ruin your day. Constantly lurking, pulling pranks, and getting under your skin, he’s mischievous yet oddly cute. also clearly inspired by Gollum from The Lord of the Rings.
